The hotel was in a convenient location very close to the center of the village, shops, pubs, and restaurants. Ivy Tower has a bar with local musicians playing on certain nights.- The room had handy amenities like an iron and ironing board, a work desk, and a TV.

The hotel's position was great, adjacent to the town centre of Castlebar and other restraunts. Places like Christ Church were a 10-15 minute walking distance from from here too. The breakfast had variety of selection, the food was lovely.

The staff were extremely helpful and caring. The room was brand new, spotless, and had a very clean bed. The hotel had a central position on the hill.
